After a sermon on Hell (listen here), I was asked via email if I could provide a similar study on Satan.  The answer was basically “No”, but I thought where my email went was pretty good stuff… so I thought I’d share it here. As far as the doctrine of Satan goes… I haven’t done extensive, focused study on Satan as much as I have on Hell.  I would just say this – Satan is most definitely a created being (all things were created by God) – the bible doesn’t really say......

Interpretation of these beatitudes largely reflect the work of Mark D. Rotramel in his doctoral work, “Enhancing Transformational Leadership of Deacons Through A Spiritual Formation Model Using the Beatitudes in a Series of Lectio Divina Prayer Experiences.”  Please see the previous posts on Matthew 5:3-6. Matthew 5:7Blessed are those who see all people through compassionate eyes of forgiveness, for so shall they be seen. “Those who see all people through compassionate eyes of forgiveness…”  “the merciful…“ God’s righteousness IN us overflows into God’s righteousness BETWEEN us. Hey FBE-ers!!! Sorry I’ve been slacking on the FBE-ers lately…  I plan on picking them up again.   Recently your FBE staff has felt that we need to do a better job communicating the visions we feel God has given us for the various ministries of FBE. So, I thought it might be beneficial to send out the things I’d like to see FBE accomplish in 2015. If your ministry is listed below, please know that I believe we are doing a good to great job in everything we are doing… But......

Peter’s impulsiveness got him into some trouble.  He was scolded by Jesus (Jesus actually called him Satan!), and he made a goober of himself in front of the Father, Son, Elijah, and Moses on the Mount of Transfiguration. But he was also compelled to confess Jesus as the Christ.  And he stepped out of the boat onto the water.  (post resurrection he dove into the water to reach Christ!) I think that the Holy Spirit, too, is impulsive… but with purpose. And when we follow the impulse of the Holy Spirit, we......

Hey FBE-ers! We kicked off our series on the Home last Sunday – Imitating Home.  Every home’s purpose is to represent God to the world – every home should be an Imitating Home.  That was the original design when God created mankind in His own likeness – in His own image – male and female, He created them. This is why a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined together with his wife, and the two shall become one flesh… because the unity between male and female is the......
